The Prayers of the People

Intercessor        With all our heart and with all our mind, let us pray to God, saying, “God, have mercy.”

For the peace from above, for the loving kindness of God, and for the salvation of our souls, let us pray to God.

All                    God, have mercy.

For the peace of the world, for the welfare of the holy Church of God, and for the unity of all peoples, let us pray to God.

All                    God, have mercy.

For our Bishop, and for all the clergy and people, let us pray to God.

All                    God, have mercy.

For our President, for the leaders of the nations, and for all in authority, let us pray to God.

All                    God, have mercy.

For this city, for every city and community, and for those who live in them, let us pray to God.

All                    God, have mercy.

For the good earth which God has given us, and for the wisdom and will to conserve it, let us pray to God.

All                    God, have mercy.

For those who are alone, for all children, and for those who are sick and suffering, especially Doris, Jane, Anjelika, Marcia, Anne, Norma, Lynne, Polly, Tim, Jay, Cathy, Vera, Mico, Hank, Mary Evelyn, Jim, Jennifer, Travis, Debbie, Donald   …. Are there others?

For all who are preparing for baptism, confirmation, reception and reaffirmation this Easter, let us pray to God.

All                    God, have mercy.

For the ministries of: Altar Guild, Choirs, Brunch Teams, Nursery Team, Hope Rises, Wellness Group, Catechesis

let us pray to God.

All                    God, have mercy.

FOR THE BIRTHDAYS OF: ; Susan Talley Brown, 15; Michael Morrissey, 15; Susan Markman, 17; Andrea Wills, 18; Sally Puckett, 20

let us pray to God.

All                    God, have mercy.

For those who are poor, oppressed, unemployed or despairing, for those who are homeless or in prison, and for all who remember and care for them, let us pray to God.

All                    God, have mercy.

For all who have died in the hope of the resurrection, and for all the departed,

O God, you have promised to hear what we ask in the Name of your Son: Accept and fulfill our petitions, we pray, not as we ask in our ignorance, nor as we deserve in our sinfulness, but as you know us and love us in your Son Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.

  1. For healthcare workers…for their wisdom and strength and solace in the days ahead.

    For all those besieged by anxiety and fear, and all those who are panicked by the idea of spending significant time alone.

    For the grace to be your people of hope and love in an unsteady and confusing time.

    I give thanks for this community and its love and care for one another and for all the lives closely linked with ours.

  2. For those who are raising and watching young lives and for God’s mercy in sparing them to follow us in the enjoyment of his creation
